Changes are occurring in our communities and schools around information and digital literacy. These are changes that impact all of us, no matter where we live or what we do, and aim to improve our workforce, education systems and economic development. Jill Hurst-Wahl works to teach and inspire those who will help to improve literacy in our communities. She is part of the team that brought Little Free Libraries to Syracuse, which is an effort to put books in the hands of children and adults who are interested in reading them.

Jill is an associate professor of practice in Syracuse University’s iSchool and the director of both its library and information science and school media specialization programs. She is a member of the SUNY Technology Policy and Practices Council.
